Diaphragms and Caps

Diaphragms and caps are barrier methods of contraception. They fit inside the vagina and cover the cervix (the entrance to the womb) to prevent sperm from entering.

To be effective they must be used with a chemical that kills sperm called Spermicide.

You can download leaflets on all forms of contraception from the Family Planning Association's website.
